SANCO was delighted to receive an impressive number of entries for our second Reference Award – and that made the jury’s decision all the more difficult. A few months ago, SANCO Consulting invited partners to submit reference projects for consideration in the SANCO Reference Award. Nearly 30 proposals were submitted by a wide range of partner companies. The projects submitted came from Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Poland. And the range of building types was equally diverse – from office buildings and residential complexes to supermarkets and a library. With such a rich variety of entries, the jury, made up of glass and communications experts, truly had their work cut out in selecting a winner.

Innovative residential project in Hamburg takes the prize
The jury was most impressed by the residential building ‘Eleven Decks’ in Hamburg, submitted by isophon glas. One of the key factors in its favour was the state-of-the-art glazing solution: an energy-efficient triple insulating glass unit was installed and, on the façade elevations facing the street, supplemented by a suspended impact pane with an anti-fog coating to effectively mitigate local noise emissions. The building’s striking structure, designed by Carsten Roth Architekten, also makes it stand out. The jury particularly commended the innovative residential concept, which features a variety of floor plans tailored to different age groups and lifestyles. In addition, a number of shared spaces invite residents to meet and connect.
