Refreshing architecture with HoffmannGlas

If you're looking for a bikini in Berlin, you might find yourself in front of an icon of 1950s architecture. Not just because you can find one in the eponymous concept shopping mall but also because the building was named after the swimwear fashion that was emerging at the time. The so-called air floor – a floor without external walls which separates the second floor from the other three – is responsible for the naming.
As part of the renovation by Hild und K Architekten, the lightness of the original construction period should be made perceptible again. They succeeded with the generous use of glass. Our member HoffmannGlas supplied the laminated safety glass SANCO LAMEX, the thermal insulation glass SANCO Plus ZERO E, the sound insulation glazing SANCO Phon and the solar control insulating glass SANCO Sun.
