Know what's going on

Creating a space whose appearance reflects the dynamism of the brand and making the long-established company headquarters in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen an attractive address: these were the ambitions of Porsche when it commissioned the construction of it's new museum.

The result is an extraordinary building designed by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects. Supported by two V-shaped pillars and another column, the prominent main body of the museum appears to float above the ground, earning it the nickname "Flieger" (Flyer). The building's façade is composed of diamond-shaped elements, beneath which rotating disks are positioned to cleverly integrate the movement of the structure into the facade.

Among other things, this special look was achieved with our SWISSANCHOR glass façade system. This point fixing system, which does not require the glass façade to be drilled through, enables particularly light-looking building outer shells.
